The IndyCar weekend at the Milwaukee Mile was plagued by rain, just like the previous three oval races, but in the end, all 500 laps were completed. Pato O’Ward scored 104 of a possible 108 points, while Christian Lundgaard and Rinus VeeKay scored their first oval podium finishes. In addition, both races featured more passing than last year. What else stood out? We analyze the race weekend through a series of numbers.

1481 - With 1,481 points, Honda has already clinched the manufacturers' championship.

372 - Of the two races, Sunday's race at the Milwaukee Mile featured the most passes for position: 372. Saturday's race saw 333 passes for position. In both cases, that was more than last year, when there were 306 passes.

152 - Caio Collet had a particularly difficult weekend in Milwaukee. Despite crashing in Sunday's race, he was the driver who was passed by far the most: 152 times across the two races! That puts him well ahead of the competition in this unpopular classification, with Graham Rahal finishing second with 'only' 104 times being passed.

104 - Across the two races, Pato O'Ward scored 104 points! That came from a possible maximum of 108 points. The only points he 'missed' were one point for pole position in each race and two points for not leading the most laps in Saturday's race.

95 - When combining the two races, Rinus VeeKay was the driver who made the most passes. He led this classification in both races, with 45 passes in Saturday's race and 50 in Sunday's race - 95 passes in total. Kyle Kirkwood finished second with 89 passes (45 + 44).

45 - Because the finish of Saturday's race at Milwaukee was moved to Sunday, Pato O'Ward won two races on the same day! The last time this happened was in 1981, when Rick Mears won two races at Atlanta Motor Speedway on June 21. What O'Ward accomplished was even more impressive, however, as the two races in 1981 were 'only' 125-mile half-distance races, which took him 51 and 45 minutes to complete.

35 - Mick Schumacher was the highest-finishing rookie in both races, finishing 12th and 13th to score 35 points, compared with 19 points for Dennis Hauger and 13 for Caio Collet. With one race remaining, Hauger still leads the Rookie of the Year championship, with an 18-point advantage over Schumacher.

21 - In Saturday's race, Rinus VeeKay gained the most positions of the two races. He started 24th and finished third - a gain of 21 positions! In Sunday's race, Kyle Kirkwood also did quite well; like VeeKay in Saturday's race, he started 24th and finished sixth, gaining 18 positions.

13 - Just over half of the drivers who started the two races led at least one lap: 13 in total. They were Pato O'Ward (174 laps), Alex Palou (115 laps), David Malukas (93 laps), Felix Rosenqvist (30 laps), Scott McLaughlin (28 laps), Rinus VeeKay (25 laps), Will Power (22 laps), Josef Newgarden (5 laps), Christian Rasmussen (3 laps), Dennis Hauger (2 laps), Scott Dixon (1 lap), Christian Lundgaard (1 lap), and Romain Grosjean (1 lap).

13 - Pato O'Ward was not easy to pass at the Milwaukee Mile; across both races, the Arrow McLaren driver was passed fewer times than anyone else! He was passed just five times in Saturday's race and eight times in Sunday's race, for a total of only 13 times. Teammate Christian Lundgaard finished second in this classification, being passed 25 times.

12 - Pato O'Ward's wins in Milwaukee were his 11th and 12th IndyCar victories. That moves him into 35th place on the all-time IndyCar winners list, tied with Cristiano da Matta and Gil de Ferran.

5 - The overall championship has already been decided, but the battle for second place is still wide open: positions two through four are separated by just five points! Christian Lundgaard is now second with 507 points, ahead of Kyle Kirkwood (505 points) and Pato O'Ward (503 points). David Malukas appears to have fallen out of the fight, trailing Lundgaard by 23 points.

2 - Until now, Honda had dominated the season, with the Japanese manufacturer completing the podium sweep in no fewer than five races. Milwaukee was different, however, with Chevrolet sweeping the podium in both races - the first races of the season in which it accomplished that feat. In Saturday's race, all seven of the top-seven finishers were powered by 'Chevy.' Unfortunately for Chevrolet, that did little to help in the manufacturers' championship, as most drivers running Chevrolet engines have exceeded the maximum number of allowed engines and no longer score points toward the manufacturers' championship.

2 - Despite two full races being held at the Milwaukee Mile, race control had to hand out just two penalties in total. Dennis Hauger received a drive-through penalty in Saturday's race for an infraction during a restart, while Will Power received a drive-through in Sunday's race for speeding in pit lane.

2 - The second lap of the race was also the fastest lap of the race in both races. What was particularly notable, however, was the the difference between the fastest laps in the two races. Pato O'Ward posted a lap of 22.920 seconds in the cooler conditions on Saturday, while Alex Palou set a fastest lap of 23.430 seconds in Sunday's race - more than half a second slower than Saturday's fastest lap!
