  • Biography

Caio Collet is a Brazilian IndyCar driver who will make his IndyCar Series debut in 2026 with AJ Foyt Racing.

    Road to the IndyCar Series

After finishing several times in second and third place in karting championships, Collet made his car racing debut in 2017. The Brazilian did not do so in his home country, but in the Formula 4 championship of the United Arab Emirates. He won one of the seven races and finished sixth in the championship. A year later, he competed in the French Formula 4 Championship, where he claimed the title outright with seven victories to his name.

After two seasons in the Formula Renault Eurocup, he made the move to the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2021. He competed there for three seasons, with only a few victories as highlights.

As Collet reached a dead end on the European single-seater ladder, he made the switch to Indy NXT in 2024. These cars proved to suit him better and over the two seasons he competed in this series, he finished third and second in the championship.

    IndyCar Series Debut

Collet’s performances in Indy NXT, combined with a strong sponsorship budget, were enough for AJ Foyt Racing to sign him for the 2026 season as the second driver alongside Santino Ferrucci. In doing so, he replaces David Malukas at the AJ Foyt IndyCar team.
