The IndyCar Series has confirmed that first practice for the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy in Markham, Canada, has been moved to Saturday. The organization was forced to make this change after it became clear that the brand-new street course was not yet fully ready. As a result, Friday's practice session had already been delayed by three hours. The change has also significantly altered Saturday's schedule.

First practice in Markham is now scheduled for 10:00 AM local time (Eastern Time), followed by second practice at 2:30 PM Qualifying will now take place at 6:30 PM.

American fans will only be able to watch the first 30 minutes through the FOX One streaming service, after which FS1 will take over the broadcast.

The change means the IndyCar teams will have a very busy schedule. Under the revised timetable, second practice, qualifying, the warm-up and the race will all take place within a 24-hour period!
