Qualifying for the Sonsio Grand Prix of Indianapolis has been moved to Saturday. Heavy rain began shortly before the scheduled qualifying session in Indianapolis, causing large puddles to form on the circuit. As a result, race control determined that conditions were not safe enough to continue running.

Because of the late scheduled start time for qualifying — 5:30PM local time — there were also limited opportunities to reschedule the session later on Friday. IndyCar therefore decided to move qualifying to Saturday morning at 10:45AM local time.

With this change to the schedule, the planned warm-up session has been canceled.
