The technical alliance between Meyer Shank Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing paid immediate dividends last year, producing strong results that saw both Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong finish inside the top ten in the championship. For 2026, the objective is clear: win races.

For Rosenqvist, the partnership with Ganassi felt like coming home. The Swede spent his first two IndyCar seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing, making the renewed collaboration a familiar one. In 2025 he delivered remarkable consistency – ten top ten finishes in seventeen races, including a second place at Road America. Typically finishing between fourth and seventh, he now wants to turn that steadiness into podiums and, ideally, victories.

“I think we’re raising the bar for sure,” Rosenqvist said. “Last year was my best season yet – and the team’s best too. But we still see room to sharpen up and come back stronger. I finished twelfth in my first year, now sixth – the next step is obvious. Me, Mike and Jim talked about it: we’re not complacent. We want to take it to the next level and go win. There’s a lot of hunger to get back to Victory Lane. You can’t just hope it happens in IndyCar; you’ve got to keep digging.”

Marcus Armstrong, Sebring After debuting with Chip Ganassi Racing, Marcus Armstrong looked like a casualty of the new Charter system, as Ganassi reduced its lineup from five to three cars. Meyer Shank Racing offered him a lifeline – and a familiar technical environment. Armstrong impressed by matching his veteran teammate Rosenqvist’s pace and scoring eleven top ten finishes. Finishing only eight positions behind him in the standings proved the young New Zealander’s promise and justifies his high expectations for 2026.

“To really fight for the championship, you need more podiums and better pace overall,” Armstrong said. “A top three finish in the standings would be great. We all know we’re capable of it – there’s so much determination within the team. We just need that extra bit to fight for poles. The key is starting the season strong and carrying that momentum forward.”
