Biografie
De Colombiaan Carlos Huertas begon zijn carrière in 2007 bij de Formula BMW UK bij Raïkkonen Robertson Racing en werdt 13e in het eindklassement, met een vijfde plek tijdens de World Final race. In 2008 reed hij voor hetzelfde team alleen nu in de FBMW Europe serie en werd 9e in het kampioenschap.In 2009 stapte Huertas over met Raïkkonen Robertson naar de Britse F3 kampioenschap en werd 7e met twee podiumplaatsen. Ook werd hij twaalfde in de Macau Grand Prix.
Hij beef Raïkkonen Robertson en de Britse F3 trouw in 2010, maar werd slechts tiende ondanks vier podiumplaatsen.
In 2011 plakte de Colombiaan er nog een derde jaar aan in de Britse F3, maar verruilde het team voor Carlin Motorsports. Hij verbeterde zijn eindklassering naar een derde plek met een eerste zege in de series.
In 2012 zagen we Huertas in de Formula Renault 3.5 bij Fortec Motorsports. Met een vierde plaats als beste klassering eindigde de Colombiaan als 16e in de punten. Hij ging in 2013 weer terug naar Carlin motorsports en werd in de Formula Renault 3.5 14e met een overwinning in Ciudad del Motor de Aragón.
Er was aangekondigd dat Huertas een Indycar zou testen in 2014 voor Panther Racing. Later werd bekend dat hij gaat rijden voor Dale Coyne Racing
