Biografie
Tristan Gommendy is de volgende Europese coureur die de overstap naar Amerika waagt. De 28-jarige Fransman wist op het Europese continent nooit de top te bereiken, ondanks sterke resultaten in de Formule 3. In 2003 reed hij naast de Formule Renault ook de 24 uur van Le Mans voor Racing For Holland. Gommendy zou echter in de tweede wagen van het team van Jam Lammer de finish niet halen. Na enkele seizoenen in de World Series by Renault probeerde Gommendy het in 2006 in de GP2 Series. Hier kon hij echter een gelimiteerd programma rijden. Vrij onverwacht werd de coureur bij de laatste test van het seizoen aangekondigd als teamgenoot van Neel Jani bij PKV Racing.Prestaties per type circuit
