    Milka Duno begon haar autosportcarrière in 1996 in Venezolaanse GT klasses, waarna ze in 1999 naar de Verenigde Staten verhuisde om in de Barber Dodge Pro Series te gaan rijden. Een jaar later maakte ze haar eerste meters in endurance racing met een start in de 24 uur van Daytona. In 2001 en 2003 reed Duno in de Europese World Series by Nissan, waarna ze in 2004 terugkeerde naar andere zijde van de oceaan om in de GrandAm te rijden, waar ze redelijk succesvol werd. Echter kriebelde een terugkeer naar de openwheel racing nog steeds en maakte Duno in 2007 de overstap naar de IndyCar Series. In de acht races waar ze dat jaar aan deel nam groeide ze al snel uit tot een gevaar op het circuit. Slechts twee keer zag ze het zwart/wit geblokt aan het eind van de race. Ze was voor zichzelf en voor anderen een gevaar op het circuit, wat de IRL organisatie zich ook realiseerde en haar bijna een startverbod gaf. In 2008 zal Dunno een deel van het seizoen voor Dreyer & Reinbold Racing rijden.
