A race car driver since the 1970s, Toronto born father of five Marty Roth had a lifelong dream of competing in the Indianapolis 500. In 2004 he achieved that dream, finishing 24th.
Roth got his start racing motorcycles, switching to formula racing in 87. In 2002 he entered the newly formed Indy Pro Series with longtime friend and fellow Canadian Brian Stewart, purchasing the equipment of champions Panther Racing at the end of 2003 to form his own team, Roth Racing. He continued in Indy Pro until 2006 when he made the jump to IndyCar. In 2008 he will run a full season along side new teammate Jay Howard.
