Daniel Herrington Replaces Sebastian Saavedra
In a surprising last-minute deal, Daniel Herrington will pilot the No. 29 William Rast machine normally driven by Sebastian Saavedra for today's Drive Smart Buckle-Up 100. "Sebastian Saavedra’s father informed me last night that Sebastian has decided not to participate in today’s race,” said team owner Bryan Herta, whose team qualified for the Indy 500 this year with Saavedra. “This turn of events has come to me, our sponsor and our entire race team as quite a surprise. Needless to say I am deeply disappointed. We greatly appreciate and admire Daniel’s willingness to step into our #29 William Rast Indy Lights entry on extremely short notice.

In 2009, Herrington, who drove for Bryan Herta, ended the year seventh in the standings with one win, coming at Chicagoland.
