Franchitti Leads Rain Affected Practice
In a session that was briefly interrupted by rain, Dario Franchitti continued his momentum from Chicagoland by leading the opening practice for tomorrow night's Kentucky Indy 300. Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Dan Wheldon, and Ryan Briscoe made up the rest of the top five.

Will Power, who lost more than 30 points off his lead last week, could only run 10th best on Friday afternoon. Other notables were Vitor Meira and Mario Moraes (seventh and eighth), who looked very strong in the early going. Paul Tracy and Graham Rahal each struggled, however, running 25th and 26th respectively.

More to come.
