Plowman shines through as leaders falter at Chicagoland
Martin Plowman, edging ever closer to the top of the championship leaderboard, found himself a top the scoring tower this afternoon in Joliet, as the small but might Firestone Indy Lights field qualified for today's Chicagoland 100.

One of the last cars to take a run, Plowman knocked fellow Brit Pippa Mann off the top spot to take his 2 pole of the 2010 Lights season with run of 189.503.

Mann continues to impress, coming off of hand surgery, holding on to the outside of the front row with a time of 189.444, which bumped teammate Philip Major, who took to the track first and held onto the top spot thru several drivers.

In between the two Sam Schmidt drivers is Sebastian Saavedra, who is looking for a good result here following last weekends disappointing result.

Championship points leader J.K. Vernay rounds out the top 5

The most surprising and disappointing run of the session would have to be James Hinchcliffe, who was rumored to have fuel pump issues during his run, will start tonights race in the second to last row, 3rd from the end.
