Keeping the Beat.. Complete List of Engineers for the 97th Indianapolis 500

Engineers in the IZOD IndyCar Series come from varying backgrounds. Some, like Panther Racing's David Cripps has an Formula One background, working for Williams F-1 and Benneton F-1 before moving to the USA. Some, like Andretti Autosport's Craig Hampson started at the bottom as a DAG (Data Acquisition Geek) and moved his way up the Newman Haas engineering ladder before re-uniting with James Hinchcliffe this year. Others like Andretti Autosport's Blair Perschbacher have moved up the ladder from Indy Lights. While others, like Ryan Briscoe's engineer Andy Brown (Galmer) come from a car development background.

If the team owner and driver are the the lead singers and guitarists of an IndyCar team band, the engineers are the rhythm section. And we all know who keeps the beat!
