Bruno Junqueria is part of a proud tradition of Brazilian open-wheel drivers that have found success in American Open-Wheel Racing. While racing in the Champ Car World Series Junqueira finished second in the championship standings three years in-a-row. He has scored eight victories, nine poles, and thirty-four podiums in the series.

After two seasons with Ganassi and three with Newman/Haas Racing, Junqueira will join Dale Coyne Racing for his second consecutive season in 2008. While with the team in 2007 the Brazilian shined racking up three consecutive podium finishes, recording a second place finish and seventh in the points standings which is the best finish and final points standings any Dale Coyne Racing driver has recorded in its twenty-three years of competition.
