Will Power, Friday practice LBGP Long Beach 26-year-old Will Power is driving for Team Australia once again in his full second season of Champ Car. Power and Team Australia had success in 2006 with Power winning his first career pole in front of his home crowd in Australia and also scoring his first career podium (third) in Mexico City three weeks later. Those successes and finishing in the top ten 9/14 races helped Power win the Roshfrans Rookie of the Year and sixth place in the overall championship.

Power kicked off 2007 determined to challenge for the championship, winning the first race of the season. Despite his best efforts, 2 wins, and 5 podiums, some mid-season misfortune would ultimately see him finish 4th in the standings. 2008 will see him & Team Australia partner up with KV Technology to contest in the IndyCar Series.
