To say that racing is in Tomas Scheckter\'s blood would be an understatement. The son of 1979 Formula One champion Jody Scheckter and nephew of former F1 competitor Ian Scheckter, Thomas began his career in karts in South Africa eventually moving to cars and to Europe to further his racing education. He ran in a number of European formula series, even serving as a test driver for Jaguar\'s Formula One effort before moving to the United States to race in the IndyCar Series. Scheckter, who drove for Vision Racing the past two seasons, has finished in the top 10 of the standings in each of the past three IndyCar Series seasons.
