Following in the footsteps of other great open-wheel drivers from Brazil Mario Moraes will be making his IndyCar debut in 2008 with Dale Coyne Racing. Mario Moraes got his first taste of speed at 11 years old in a go-kart. He displayed talent and recorded impressive results straight away. Utilizing his go-kart success to pave his way Moraes stepped out to Formula TR 1600 in the United States.

Following his experiences in America, Moraes returned to Brazil to race in the prestigious South American Formula 3 Championship. He then moved to Great Britain to contest the British F3 Championship before returning to the states to pursue an IndyCar career.
