Mario Dominguez debuted in Champ Car in 2002 and went on to win the Jim Trueman Rookie of the Year with Herdez Competition. That same year Mario finished first in the Honda Indy 300 in Surfer?s Paradise Australia. Dominguez?s 2003 season found him scoring a victory at Grand Prix of Americas in Miami and finishing an emotional third place at his home race in Mexico City. 2004 saw Mario earn a career best fifth place in the CCWS standings.
