Katherine Legge, Fast Six Challenge LBGP 2012 Katherine Legge made history in her Atlantics debut with a win at Long Beach, which made her the first woman to win a major open-wheel race in North America. It was the first of Legge?s three victories on her way to third place in the 2005 standings. Legge earned the RACER Magazine "Most Promising Road Racer of The Year" award and the Toyota Atlantic BBS Rising Star Award. She joined PKV in Champ Car in 2006 and finished fifth in the rookie of the year standings.
