Frenchman Simon Pagenaud will make the step up to Champ Car in 2007 with Team Australia. In 2006 Pagenaud gave Team Australia a championship title in the Atlantics series and also picked up rookie of the year honors. He won his only pole of the season in Cleveland, and took his one victory in Edmonton. Pagenaud scored 6 podiums in his 12 starts on his way to the championship title.
