This naval engineer with master's degrees in Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Maritime Business and Marine Biology was bitten by the racing bug in 1998.

In 2007 she earned the highest finish ever by a female driver with a second-place finish in the 24 Hours At Daytona. That same year she became only the third female driver to start an IndyCar Series race and scored a career high in the IndyCar Series 11th place finish in Texas in 2007 with SAMAX Motorsports.

Milka Duno returned to the IndyCar Series in 2008 contesting 11 races for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, where she lead her first ever career laps (5) at Chicagoland. In 2009, she did another partial season with Dreyer & Reinbold while recording another career milestone, her highest starting position (12th)

2010 finds the popular Venezuelan running her first full IndyCar season, this time with Dale Coyne Racing.

When not racing, Duno, a published author, spends her time traveling and promoting the importance of education.
