On Track This Week '17 - Grand Prix of Alabama

It’s Round 3 of the Verizon IndyCar season, and that means we are traversing the twists and turns of Barber Motorsports Park in beautiful Alabama. If the last couple of years are any indication, this is the weekend the “racing” actually begins. It’s like the lack of walls allows the drivers a little more freedom to stretch out, and take chances. As a fan, this is what we’ve been waiting for, as the first couple of races, while mildly entertaining, have lacked that little bit of extra zip.The details...

Track Type: 2.3-mile, 17-turn road course (clockwise)

TV: Coverage continues on NBCSN. Which means they will talk about the IndyCar season, not just the month of May.
Leigh Diffey is back with the team this weekend as the lead announcer while Leigh Diffey fulfills his F1 and Olympic Trials duties. He'll be joined by Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell in the booth, and Marty Snider, Kevin Lee, Katie Hargitt and Robin Miller on the ground.

Web/radio: Mark Jaynes takes over as chief announcer. Joining him in the booth will be analyst Davey Hamilton. Jake Query, Nick Yeoman, Rob Howden and Michael Young covering the remotes. All Verizon IndyCar Series races are broadcast live on the Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network, Sirius 212, XM 209,, and on the INDYCAR Mobile app.
