Newgarden Leads a CFH 1-2 in Toronto

Mother Nature again played a big role this weekend, with Sunday's Honda Indy Toronto starting on a wet track. In the end, Josef Newgarden and CFH Racing played it perfectly to grab his win of 2015. A quick-thinking pit stop prior to a caution when James Jakes nosed into a tire barrier put him in position to take the lead when pit stops cycled through under yellow. He then withstood pressure from teammate Luca Filippi and Penske's Helio Castroneves and Will Power to secure his second career win.

Filippi, for his credit, had his best drive of the season, finishing second after starting sixth, a great result for a driver who has struggled all year. Castroneves came back from an ill-timed pit stop that sent him to the back of the field under caution to finish third. Power was relegated to fourth through pit strategy, while Sebastien Bourdais rounded out the top five.
